We are more than the space inside our walls, we are a community.
Community partnerships are an important way that Danny’s Place serves our mission to empower youth in our community. We have founded coalitions, we participate in committees doing great work, and we support bringing core programs to the community.

Danny’s Place is proud to be a Founding Members of these Coalition Groups: 

  • AB Cares: A community-based collaborative effort that seeks to prevent suicide across the lifespan and support all who are impacted by suicide. AB Cares aims to support community-wide conversations, awareness, and connections across Acton and Boxborough in order to prevent suicide.

  • ABCRN (Acton Boxborough Community Resource Network): The purpose of the ABCRN is to provide an opportunity for human service professionals in Acton & Boxborough to share information, network, and enhance collaborations to benefit the residents of both communities.


Both groups were founded to address critical issues in the community and continue to be important and active professional groups. These groups allow key stakeholders to connect, share resources, and make plans for actions needed to improve the lives of the Acton-Boxborough community.


Additionally, we proudly serve on these Committees:
ABRHS School Council: The School Council gathers input from parents, students, school staff and the community to inform high school leadership on different relevant topics. DPYS values our role in helping to make a difference in the lives of high school students at Acton-Boxborough, and has been a part of the school council since 2016.

SWAC: Danny’s Place Youth Services is a community youth-serving agency member on the Superintendent’s Wellness Advisory Committee. This committee addresses different topics relevant to the district’s wellness goals. We are honored to be a part of this group and share our perspectives. We have been invited to serve on this committee for many years beginning in 2012.

As part of these coalition groups and Danny’s Place's active role in the community, we also support community events including:

We also support these programs, where we work with existing programs to bring them to the Acton and Boxborough communities at free or deep discounted costs. While a variety of programs fall in here, their commonality is how they fall under the DPYS Mission, and our goal to provide a diverse offering of programs to the youth of Acton and Boxborough:
