Join Danny’s Place Youth Services, Highrock Acton, and Acton-Boxborough United Way for a free virtual event for students on Thursday, September 10th at 7-8:30pm. We know there are a lot of uncertainties and worries as we enter the new school year. During this event, students will hear from a peer panel made up of students in grades 8-12 who will share their perspectives and experiences with the transitions that come with returning to school, especially with the unique situation we find ourselves in this year. School Adjustment Counselor and mental health practitioner Kelly Dearing, LICSW, will also be joining us to share her expertise as well as how parents and caregivers can support their children during these transitions.
This workshop will include interactive elements that focus on three areas:
navigating uncertainties
time management
making and maintaining social connections in and out of school
At the end of the workshop, panelists will answer any questions that are submitted during the event.
Registration closed.
