Twenty Years. One Night.

A Room Full of People Who Never Really Left.

Two Decades Event Recap

On April 11, 2026, Danny's Place turned twenty, and the community showed up to celebrate the way this community always has: together, loud, and full of heart.

126 people filled the space at 543 Massachusetts Avenue. Sons of Businessmen played. And somewhere between the first song and the last conversation of the night, twenty years collapsed into a single room and felt exactly like home.

126 guests. 20 years of stories. Alumni who grew up here. Families who found us last year. Neighbors who've watched this building become something remarkable. Everyone in the same room, at the same time, for the same reason.

$10,000+ raised. Every ticket purchased, every bid placed, every donation made it all goes toward keeping the lights on, the programs running, and the door open for the next generation of young people who need a place like this.

Two alumni took the stage. Ash and Daniel, who grew up at Danny's Place and now serve on its Board of Directors, shared what this place meant to them. The room got quiet. The kind of quiet that means something.

Some moments don't need a caption.

And then there was Lana. A kid at the event made a handwritten sign: "If I win, donate 5 dollars to Danny's Place." She set up an arm-wrestling station. She raised $100. On her own. Because she decided this place was worth fighting for.

“One week later, I'm still processing it all, and what I'm feeling is a deep sense of connection and community that has lasted decades." — Katie Gorczyca, Executive Director

This night was made possible by the generosity of our sponsors: Gallant Insurance · True West Brewing · Middlesex Savings Bank · Acton Lions Club · Northern Bank · Acton Pharmacy & Barret Sotheby’s International Realty.

Thank you for believing in twenty more years.
