The 7th Annual Danny's Place Ice Cream Contest is here and this year, we're going somewhere delicious.
The theme is:
Nostalgia.
Danny’s Place and West Side Creamery are back with the
7th Annual Ice Cream Contest!
What flavor takes you back?
The ice cream truck’s sound on a summer afternoon. The first cone you ever ordered all by yourself. The flavor your family always got at that one place you used to go. The cone you and your crush shared together?
This year, we're asking our whole community, kids, teens, adults, grandparents, and neighbors to turn a memory into a flavor.
Adults: Daydream about something that takes you back. Give it a name that says everything. (Penny Candy. Dancing Queen Vanilla. Boardwalk Butterscotch. Summer of '99 Swirl.)
Kids + Caregivers: Ask the grown-ups in your life about when you were little. What did you use to do/eat/play/watch/read? Where did you like to go? What do you miss from back then (if you remember)? Then together, turn that story into a flavor.
The community votes, one flavor wins, one scoop gets made for real.
The winning flavor will be produced and be available for purchase at West Side Creamery in mid-June and a part of the earnings will be utilized to support the Danny's Place Programs.
The creator of the winning flavor will receive a West Side Creamery gift card, Danny's Place swag, and bragging rights!
This is the tastiest thing we do all year.
